Scope and content
In the second part of the first interview, Michael vividly described certain gruesome and heart-breaking scenes of people who had perished in enemy bombings. He talked about the refugees who moved to Rabat, most of which were from the Three Cities, and the five families that lived on the first floor of his childhood home. One of them had been Edgar Soler, who had been interned and in 1942 was deported to Uganda with many others. Many churches and chapels in Rabat were converted to house refugees as well.
