Scope and content
In 1946, Jean Borg had been involved in a serious accident in her family's stables in Tripoli, Libya. After a year in a hospital in Tripoli, her mother Anne had planned to take Jean to Bologna in Italy. After further consultation with her father (jean's maternal grandfather), Anne decided to have her daughter relocated to Santo Spirito hospital in Rabat, Malta. Jean was a patient in the hospital between 1947 and 1950 until her transfer to the Central Hospital in Floriana. She was finally discharged in 1951.
