Department: Customs. Collector of Customs is reporting that he had received a letter from the Master of the British S.S. "Joseph Scicluna" with respect to the rescue of a man by the 4th Engineer of the said ship in the port of Palermo together with the affidavits furnished by Captain Ruggie and signed by person who were eye-witnesses of this praiseworthy action which ought to be considered by the Royal Humane Society but before taking any further steps in the matter the British Consul in Palermo was to furnish a detailed report of the case.
