Department: Legal. Notary Gera submitted for payment the work done by him in on Notes of Hypothecary Registration in connection with contracts of Empetuptesis and "Capitali Bollati" belong to Govt., such notes being taken from contracts executed from 1654 to this time and for fees for numerous searches in the acts of various Notaries of this time. Not. Gera seems to have charged 2s.6d for each "Nota" prepared by him when the usual charge was 1s. but this was the customary rate charged when dealing with documents with difficult hand writing and difficult to read.
