The body of a certain Magdalena Bosa was discovered and taken to the parish church of Porto Salvo in Valletta. It was presumed that she had been poisoned. The suspicion was confirmed when her mother Alexandra and 5-year old nephew Claudio Laman, who had eaten of the same meal also took ill. Eventually suspicion fell on her father Salvatore Bosa. The slaves Machamed Oghli and Ali Hali Oghli were accused of complicity. The motive was that Salvatore wanted to access Alexandra's inheritance. Salvatore Busa was found guilty, sentenced to be hanged and quartered. The slaves were sentenced to be hanged and their bodies left exposed to the elements.

Maria, wife of Laurentius Sammut, reports that in the early morning she had rushed out of her house at the cries of her 10 year old son, Tommaso, whom she found dizzy and with a lump over his eye. The boy reported that he had had a quarrel with the son of the same age of Marietta, wife of Baldassare. Marietta had then thrown stones at him, resulting in the wound in the head. Doctor's report.
Magna Curia Castellania - CriminaleThe scrittorio (desk) of the elemosinarius of the Grandmaster was stolen in the night together with the money assigned to him for the pursuit of his duties. By means of investigation it was discovered that Bernardino Debono and Micheale Agius had made a false key and used it to break into the elemosinarius' office, took the desk, made it out of the palace, hid the desk in an underground room belonging to Margerita Fiamenzo under the house of Lorenzo Tholossenti. They then enlisted the help of Angelo Portelli who helped take the desk elsewhere. Michael Agius was sentenced to hang, Bernardino Debono was sentenced to row for life, being spared the hanging for his young age, and Angelo Portelli was sentenced to row for three years.
