Scope and content
The body of a certain Magdalena Bosa was discovered and taken to the parish church of Porto Salvo in Valletta. It was presumed that she had been poisoned. The suspicion was confirmed when her mother Alexandra and 5-year old nephew Claudio Laman, who had eaten of the same meal also took ill. Eventually suspicion fell on her father Salvatore Bosa. The slaves Machamed Oghli and Ali Hali Oghli were accused of complicity. The motive was that Salvatore wanted to access Alexandra's inheritance. Salvatore Busa was found guilty, sentenced to be hanged and quartered. The slaves were sentenced to be hanged and their bodies left exposed to the elements.
