In 2001 the Commerce Department was formed and the Department of Trade ceased to exist. Their records or parts thereof started to form part of the Commerce Department.

Immediate source of acquisition or transfer

These accessions was transferred to the National Archives of Malta from the Commerce Department in 2020 and 2024.
