Gusmano Bonnici and his son Thommaso explain how Gusmano had bought certain parcels of land and given them to his son as part of a marriage contract. The lands were burdened with dues (cens bullalis) towards Lazzaro Bonnici, and they had been imprisoned by the cessionarius Franciscus Surdo even though they had paid more in dues than they had garnered in income from the land. They ask to be released. Contractual history going back as 1549 given (see contract of 14/02/1549 and many other more recent ones establishing the cens bullalis and the various transfers of the same land.) The referenced contracts refer to several properties throughout the islands.
