Part of Law Courts Miscellaneous
Giovanni Giusitiniani from Schio (a Catholic of the Latin rite) appearing for himself and as cessionarius of various other persons from Schio explains that he had departed from Schio in March 1664 with sums of money and merchandise mainly consisting in cloth heading towards Alexandria for commercial reasons. He exhcnaged his goods and money for rice and other listed commodities but his vessel of passage was intercepted by Fra Guglielmo Di Bernardo and his vessel which looted him illegally. Di Bernardo was sentenced to restore Justiniani and his companions with the looted goods or just compensation but he had failed to do so and now Juliani was prosecuting Egidio Dibertis as pleggio of Di Bernardo.
