The slave Nicola belonging to Franciscus Surdo was found guilty of stealing various items including several items of jewellery and expensive foodstuffs from Salvo Mantagner and his house in Notabile, as he had confessed to the Corte Capitanale. The Magna Curia Castellania was now investigating the matter to uncover his accomplices. He was also accused of stealing from the house of Vincentius Cumbo in Vittoriosa, including pearls and jewels. A certain Grancesco Xerri was also incarcerated concerning the case. Antonius Sillato and Mario Inguanez also claimed to be victims of theft by the same slave.
