The image depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Immaculate Conception dressed in white with white lilies at the bottom, white symbol of purity. Overleaf, one finds a memento commemorating the first centenary of the proclamation of the Dogma of the Immaculate Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, patron of the Franciscan Minor Order. This memento was distributed by the Franciscan Minor Friars who were living at the convent dedicated to St Anthony in Gozo.
