            Dates covered: 1940-1980. Arthur Wait was born in 1940. He came from a long standing naval family. He described life as a child in Birzebbuga and the hardships endured by the Maltese in the post-Second World War years. He recounted how he joined the navy and his life as a Maltese man in the British navy. He also mentioned the closing of the military base in Malta and how it affected those people who worked with the British Forces.

            Giovanni Carolo Cacutari was swimming in the marina of Burmula close to the Convent of St Theresa when he made threatening gestures with a sword at the guards of the gate of Senglea, and he then shot a pistol in their direction. He then resisted arrest. He was sentenced to row for life.

            Case commences with the interrogation of Lorenzo Vella who claims that he had gone with Giovanni Battista Zammit to see the vessel recently captured in corso by Cav. de Creinulle, where they came across a man who claimed to be the guardian of the vessel. This guardian invited them on board and gave them some roasted chickpeas but some time later, some guards came about and arrested them for trespassing and stealing chickpeas from the vessel's hold. The so-called "guardiano" had escaped. Other statements collected. No sentence included.

            First few folios missing. Document commences with the interrogation of witnesses. Witnesses confirm that Aloysia Debaldo had been wounded in the head and that Maruzza Inglis had thrown stones at Debaldo's house with the intention of stoning her. She was nonetheless acquitted.

            Domenicus Attard, Night Watchman, reports that while in the vicinity of the Post of Castille of Vittoriosa he came across the sailor Natale D'Andrea, who was armed. He followed him at a distance and even came across the Governor of the City, who asked him to take Natale into custody. He sought to do so accordingly, especially after being informed by a certain Damiano that Natale intended to attack a certain Barnaba. Domenicus tracked down Natale who had, in the meantime, already been arrested by a Cap. Salvo Brunet, but not disarmed. Natale was frisked and a concealed triangular blade (stile Venetiano) was found. He was taken and held on the galley.

            A report by the algozino of the Galera Padrona, Alonsus Maldonato, concerning a certain slave of the galley who had either fallen or thrown himself from the walls of Senglea close to the slave prisons in the area, named Durach Mustafa Ogli Sapraborlondoni. The slave had died of the fall.
