The black and white image which seems as a newspaper cutting depicts St Joseph the Worker, the carpenter, whose feast day is on 1 May. In response to the “May Day” celebrations for workers sponsored by Communists, Pope Pius XII instituted the feast of Saint Joseph the Worker in 1955. Overleaf, one finds a prayer consecrating all workers to the Saint.
