Rizzo Marich, Lawrence, 1828 - 1887

Lawrence Rizzo Marich, born in Valletta in 1828, ran the V. Marich and Co. business and was supported by his sons Alfred and Joseph Rizzo Marich. Lawrence Rizzo Marich was handed the business from Vincenzo Marich, of which Lawrence was his first cousin. By 1862, the business received its first appointment by His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales in 1862, where permission to affix "By appointment to His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales" over the door of their establishment was granted.

Cousin, once removed, of Vincenzo Marich. Son of Antonia Vella and Giovanni Battista Rizzo. Married to Philomena Bonnici (1837 - 1857). Father of Alfred Rizzo Marich (1860-1897) and Joseph Benedict Rizzo Marich, 1867-1908. Grandfather to Arthur Rizzo Marich (1888-1966) and Edwrad Rizzo Marich (1890-1953).
