Magna Curia CastellaniaConsiderable water staining compromising legibility of texts. The dispute involves land possessed by Domenicus Dorbesi in the area of Ta Catald, in Gharb, Gozo. There seems to be disagreement about the conditions of transfer by sale to the same Dorbesi and reference is made to various dates prior to the case, referencing potential contracts and previous transfers. Reference is also made to creditors who may be owed money in connection to the land. The last folio ends mid-sentence and it is therefore clear that more was originally included in the original libellus.

Libellus forwarded for appeal. Domenico Conti, fisc of the CG accuses Salvo Caci of the illegal sale of birds to Ignatio Muscat, which birds seem to have been imported from Naples. He was confirmed on appeal to be exiled from Gozo for two years.

Aloisio Metaxi as procurator of Eufemia La Petalita demands the confiscation of money in the possession of Domenico Sayd which he is paying to Isabella la Buvayna and her heirs the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary due to debts owed to the same Eufemia arising from a litigation between her and the Confraternity.
Fra Carlo Georgio Berlotto, knight, explains that he has been requested by the Senate of Turin to submit a formal and sworn testimony concerning properties and sums of money belonging to third parties or owed to third parties by third parties in Turin, as he accordingly does.

Ferdinandux Camenzuli - undated) but a certain Mettheolus Cuschieri was now claiming that that the capital of 200 scudi associated with cens bullalis with these lands were now his. The court found merit in Cuschieri's claim and ordered 111.3 scudi to be paid to him. See also doc. 3 in this same box.

Gio Paulo di Laurentio (28/01/1637). Permission is granted, allowing Xicluna to prosecute the other party for his shortcomings.
On the reverse the same is done for Vincenzo Abela from Valletta for a contract in the acts of Not. Thomas Agius (16/11/1642).
Curia Episcopalis et Provicarialis Notabilis CivitatisCesare Passalacqua as procurator of the Common Treasury of the Order reports that Beatrice Cagliares had donated 1,000 scudi to the Canon Giovanni Baptista Cagliares, which she claimed to have previously lent to Bishop Cagliares, since deceased. She later qualified that there had been no such loan and that she had been compelled to make the donation, and that the money belonged to the spoglio of the deceased Bishop, and so to the Order.
Curia Episcopalis et Provicarialis Notabilis CivitatisClemens Psayla from Qormi accuses Petrus Mifsud from Qormi and others that while he was travelling to Mqabba to pay Johannes Petrus Zammit two scudi for a pig (maiale) he was accosted close to the cross in the area Tal Chandae (perhaps Ta Kandja) by the accused, who was carrying a sword and knife (spada e pugnale) and assaulted him, causing him grevious injury. Petrus Mifsud is interrogated. Case file incomplete.
