Paulo Scalzo is accused of the murder of his wife Catherinuccia. He took her to the vessel captained by Filippo Berighieri on which he worked as a sailor, they spent the night aboard and then he took her to the area of the warehouses of the Universita of Valletta and there murdered here. He was sentenced to public hanging.

While the Order's galley San Pietro was in Messina, the Corporal Pietro Psayla and the musketeer Francesco Mifsud fired their muskets to salute the Papal standard, as was customary, but discovered they were shot upon, the corporal in the chest, and the musketeer in the foot, for which they received treatment at the hospital of Messina. Psayla later died of his wounds. Suspicion fell upon Marcello de Vincentio, a soldier aboard the San Nicola, which was also in Messina as the galleys of the Order were away on Corso. While in the Sacra Infermeria to be treated for serious wounds to the head, Giovanni di Rosa testifies that he was assaulted by Battista de Francesco. Di Rosa eventually died of his wounds and De Francesco was sentenced to be hung until nearly dead outside the city walls and then to serve as rower for the rest of his life in chains and without remuneration.

Antonio Corso, Marino de Giacomo, Simone de Pierre, and any of their accomplices are accused of knowingly and intentionally murdering Michele Cordin, known as San Paolo, and Geronimo Raspi in Vittoriosa.
