Giuseppe de Laurenzo from Casal Qormi accuses Giovanni Maria Galdes from the same village that on the feastday of the Visitation of St Mary the accused stole two handkerchiefs (fazzoletti) from him while he was drinking in company at De Laurenzo's garden. When confronted, the accused lashed out with a knife. Witnesses interrogated Galdes was fined 5 uncia. The fine was confirmed on appeal to the SAU.
Curia CapitanalisFrancesco Muscat from Casal Qormi is accused of breaching the conditions of his sentence of exile from Malta and Gozo to Sicily. He was sentenced to rowing on one of the Order's galleys with bound feet and against no pay for six years. On appeal this was moderated to three years.
Curia CapitanalisMattheo Buhagiar from Qormi was pursuing a legal case against Leonardo Muscat in the Corte della Magistrale Secretia, and also reports that he had always enjoyed the right of passage to his housing in Qormi through a land recently acquired by Muscat, who was now restricting and forbidding his access.
