Department: Minute. C.S.G. is informing Dr. John Borg M.D. that he had been appointed as Superintendent of Public Gardens at a salary of £120 a year with quarters on probation for a year. He was to commence on the retirement of Mr. M. Bonavia from the service and to occupy the premises previously occupied by him. He was to be entrusted with the superintendence of all the Public Gardens, Model Farms or Agricultural Establishments in which the Govt. might be concerned and he was not to indulge in any private practice of any kind. He was also required at any time to undertake in lieu of or in addition to his present appointment work in connection with the P.H.D. or to give lectures on agricultural or natural history at the University or elsewhere.
