Felix Bonnici from Valletta testifies that a group of about six foreigners had come to his tavern in the area of Due Balle and purchased wine from him which they drank beneath the bastion. They broke the jug and goblet he gave them but they agreed to bring another jug and goblet in return. Once they had left the tavern he rushed out due to a commotion and saw one of them attacking Laurentius Micallef with a knife while the others threw stones.
