Theme: Agriculture in the 1880s - 1930s. Censu Borg 'Tal-Lira' was born in 1921 at Luqa. Throughout his life Censu had always worked in the fields. His father used to work the fields while his mother used to sell vegetables. Censu had started to work the fields, which were rented from the government, together with his father and his brother. Censu had 6 children, 5 boys and a girl and had always lived in Luqa. At the time of the interview he was doing minimal work in the fields, his sons had taken over.

Theme: Life of a Farmer. Coronato Calleja, known as Kurnatu, was born on the 3rd of October 1942 at Victoria, Gozo. He had 10 siblings. His father was a full time government employee and a part-time farmer whilst his mother was a housewife. Kurnatu had emigrated to Sydney and Queensland, Australia as a sugarcane worker for more than 5 years. When he came back to Malta he started working at 'Ta' Cenc' until he found a full-time government job and kept farming as a part-time job. Apart from the time he spent in Australia, he used to live in Victoria and Kercem, Gozo. He had a daughter and at the time of the interview he was a pensioner.

Her father died a few months after she was born. She worked on the farm as a child, then became a housewife. She had 9 children. Before she was married she was known as Ta' Mraden, after her marriage she was known as Ta' Borgu ta' Saver.
