In light of this they make a formal deposition that Zerafa had given Antuniaccio four empty barrels which were to be filled with olive oil in Messina, to which Antuniaccio was sailing with his frigate. Money was also given to cover purchase and delivery. Antunaccio was also to bring another four barrels to be sold to Zerafa at cost. However, Antunaccio returned and sold all eight barrels to third parties and kept all the money himself.

Cesare Passalacqua as procurator of the Common Treasury of the Order reports that Beatrice Cagliares had donated 1,000 scudi to the Canon Giovanni Baptista Cagliares, which she claimed to have previously lent to Bishop Cagliares, since deceased. She later qualified that there had been no such loan and that she had been compelled to make the donation, and that the money belonged to the spoglio of the deceased Bishop, and so to the Order.
