Department: Charitable. Comptroller C.I. is requesting that a Warrant be issued authorizing the Receiver General to put at his disposal the sum of £1000 out of the deposits of the Monte, which sum was required to carry on the service of that Institution during the following month.

Department:Works. Supt. of Works is reporting on major problems encountered with regards to the galleries that were being driven in connection with the Drainage Works at Sliema. Suggestions for a remedy were being submitted.
Department: Works. Superintendent is forwarding a requisition from the Leper Hospital for providing shelves in four rooms, 4 shutters for windows and 1 box to cover telephone at an estimated cost of £5.
Department: Works. Superintendent of Works is reporting that Mr. Salvatore Zammit owner of a house at Strada Herba, Zeitun had applied for permission to carry out structural alterations which amounted to almost a whole re-construction. Since according to the Key Plan for Zeitun a large part of this house was to be expropriated for aligning of a thoroughfare it was being recommended that permission applied for be refused and opportunity taken for effecting the expropriation.
Department: Prison. Weekly Report by the Supt. of Corradino Prison on the 210 men, 8 boys, 14 women prisoners in the Prison.
Department: Minute. Registrar, First Country District is being queried why the weekly and quarterly returns of cases tried in the Court of his District were not being regularly sent in to furnish returns without unnecessary delay.
Department: Agents. A case of Waterproof Sheeting for the Charitable Institutions was being ordered from the North British Rubber Co. Ltd. Shipped on the S.S. "Tuscan Prince".
Department: Minute. C.G.M.O. had informed the Veterinary Surgeon that he was going to be placed in charge of the Administration of the Slaughter House as Superintendent. Mr. Macfarlane was informed that he was to assume the duties of Superintendent from 1st January 1900.
