Scope and content

The pale-coloured image depicts a lightened cross with a dripping Sacred Heart at the centre and the crown of thorns around it. On the altar (or table) there are all symbols of the Holy Eucharist: the vines and grapes, the wheat both symbolising the Bread and Wine, the chalice, the cruets or casters, the stole and the two doves symbolising the Holy Spirit. This image is a memtno of the celebration by Bishop Emanuel Galea and parish Priest Don Michele Balzan of the First Holy Communion celebrated at the Attard Parish Church to all children who attended Catechism Classes.
