The ship had run aground and the two had decided to go to the Gozitan's aunt's house instead of staying with the crew, without due permission. The document contains depositions and sworn testimonies concerning their capture and disarmament. Both sentenced to rowing on the galleys for three years.

Matteo Camilleri is accused of receiving money from Cap. Gerolamo Napolitano to serve him on his galley on the corso and then deserting from service. He is sentenced to two years' rowing.

Witness statements collected confirming that the buonavoglia rower Johannes de Giovanni did not report for duty on board the Santo Nicola.

Michaele Caroana failed to report for service on the ship San Giacomo and remained in Malta. Michaele claimed that the desertion was involuntarily since he was hungover from drinking wine and overslept, and he had already loaded his possessions on the ship and asks that he is not punished so he can marry the dowry-less Antonia Hebejer, who would otherwise be destitute. Caroana was sentenced to three years' rowing with chained feet. Giorgio Mercieca was likewise accused of desertion and sentenced to two years' rowing with chained feet.

Franciscus Pelini and Franciscus di Natale, engaged to serve on the Order's galley San Johannes, and Andrea Bonavia, engaged to serve on the corsairing vessel named Il Santissimo Crocifisso of Cap. Anastasio Seordini are accused of failing to show up for duty. Pelini had escaped in Maiorca, and Di Natale in Alicante. Bonavia claimes to have also been engaged on the Santa Elisabetta. Pelini was senteneced to three years' rowing with chained feet for three years, Di Natale was sentenced to two years' community service due to his young age, and Bonavia for three years' community service due to his old age.

it is reported that the sailor Carlus parnis escaped from service on the galley San Johannes while in Cartagena three years previously. He claimed that it had happened because he had been sent inland to buy provisions but when he returned, the ship had lready set sail. In the meantime, he had taken up employment on other ships as available. He finally joined up with the crew of San Johannes again when he came across the ship in Leghorn. He was sentenced to three years' rowing with chained feet on the triremes/galleys of the Order.

Salvatore Hagius is accused of desertion from the corsairing crew of the sambechhino of Cap. Aloysius Gioubert during the period of quarantine and of going into the countryside into the company of non-infected persons. He had gone to Luqa, where he was tracked down and eventually arrested, although not before seeking refuge in the church and then breaking into an adjoining house of the family Camenzuli, who were then also arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting the fugitive. The ship had captured a saica departed from Alexandria with riso, cafe, telaria, lino and other merchandise. Hagius was sentenced to ten years' rowing with chained feet.

Vinenco Tanza is accused of desertion from service on the galley San Pietro. No sentence.

Vincenzo Bonaventura, buonavoglia on the Order's galley San Pietro is accused of desertion from the same. Sentenced to three years' rowing.

Cap. Claudio Uzzino, Alberto de Leonardo, Orazio Chercopo, Marino Sardena, Simone Delelba, Giulio Testa, Gregorio de Battista Janvensen, Stefano Pullicino, Giovanni Condet, Francesco Antonio from Naples, Giacobo de Sangiavato, Leonardo Gambin and Stefano d'Anello are accused of sailing out of port on the brigantino San Giuseppe and deserted at various points of the journey. None were condemned.

Placido Adorno and Benedetto la Rosa, both buonavoglia, are accused of desertion. They are sentenced to three years' rowing.

Philippus Latora, a buonavoglia rower on the La Vittoria is accused of desertion for failing to report for duty. He was sentenced to three years' rowing.

Philippus Ellul, a buonavoglia rower on the San Lorenzo is accused of desertion for failing to report for duty. He was sentenced to three years' rowing.

Pietro Mallia, buonavoglia rower on the Galera Capitanea is accused of desertion for failing to report for duty. He is sentenced to three years' rowing.

The rower buonavoglia Petrus Cullaro is accused of desertion for not reporting for duty on the galley La Vittoria. He was sentenced to three years' rowing.

Paulo Pullicino is accused of refusing to show up for service on the corsairing vessel of the captain Cav. Fra Francesco Roberti Scillian despite having taken payment. The corsairing vessel is named as the San Giovanni Battista. He is therefore considered a fugitive and deserter. Sentenced to three years' rowing on the Order's galley.

Nuntius Pulizzi, buonavoglia rower, is accused of desertion for failing to reprot for duty on the San Giuseppe for a voyage to the Kingdom of Sicily. He was sentenced to three years' rowing.

Michaele Marinso, buonavoglia rower on San Giuseppe, is accused of desertion for failing to report for work. He was senteneced to three years' rowing.

Lucianus Collara and Johannes d'Antonius, buonavoglia rowers are accused of desertion for not reporting for duty on the San Josephus and were sentenced to three years' rowing.

Josephum d'Orlando, Julius Galia, buonavoglia rowers on the Santa Maria, and Francesco Bonnici, buonavoglia rower on the Santo Lorenzo, are accused of desertion for failing to report for duty. They were sentenced to three years' rowing.
