Scope and content
The black and white image shows a hill with the Crucified Christ on top with six streams of water coming out from the foot of the Cross and moving downwards. At the foot of the hill, one finds the Basilica of St Peter's with its Square and colonnade. The picture depicts also rows of sheep moving towards the Basilica to enter - the sheep symbolise the faithful in the Bible. At the bottom of the picture, there is a photo of the coat of arms of Pope Pius XII. It is a memento of the Jubilee Year 1950.
